Regardless of your positionĀ on the Senate immigration bill, we should all insist that our senators read the thing before voting.

But the bill is 350 pages long, and that’s not counting another 320 pages of amendments. Orin Hatch was just on the Sean Hannity show. He’s against the bill and he suggested that very few senators have read the full bill.

Hatch also noted the sense, among some, that something needs to be done and this bill is better than no bill. What?

Apparently they’ve forgotten California’s awful energy deregulation law, which passed unanimously in 1996 and was more or less unread by all who passed it.

Live and don’t learn, it seems.
