Oh, let’s be delicate
Sometimes cultural markers appear in odd places. Here’s the online (the cable guide) description of a movie appearing on HBO called The Hamburg Cell.
While it’s bound to touch a nerve, this painstakingly researched docudrama strives to present an objective look at the lives of some of the men who were recruited, trained and paid to carry out the attacks on the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001.
Touch a nerve? Whose? Muslims?
Remember the people leaping to their deaths from the burning towers? The sound they made on impact? The children left fatherless and motherless by these Islamic murderers?
Who cares if nerves are touched?
