Democratic Senator Barack Obama of Illinois proved he’s no Lincoln. Obama told the AP that he opposes keeping U.S. forces in Iraq to stop a genocide.

“Well, look, if that’s the criteria by which we are making decisions on the deployment of U.S. forces, then by that argument you would have 300,000 troops in the Congo right now — where millions have been slaughtered as a consequence of ethnic strife — which we haven’t done. We would be deploying unilaterally and occupying the Sudan, which we haven’t done. Those of us who care about Darfur don’t think it would be a good idea.”

Typical lefty shell game. When they cannot win an argument they try to switch subjects.

Our troops already are in Iraq, not the Congo. If it were the other way around, we would stay and fight in the Congo.

Using Obama’s attemt at logic, why did we help remove Slobodan Milosevic under Democrat Bill Clinton? What was that about? Using Obama-logic, we should never have stopped Hitler because Stalin was worse.

It is the same old tired argument that since the world isn’t perfect we should do nothing. Liberals used this to serve as cover for the communist takeover of South Vietnam.

Now they protect jihadists.
