So this is where American academia stands:

• Yale recruited and admitted the former PR guy for the Taliban, those charming fellows who stoned women to death for various offenses against Islam.
• Harvard forced out its president for suggesting innate differences in scientific aptitude between males and females might be a worthy debating point. Two years later, he is disinvited by the University California Board of Regents for the same offense.
• Columbia University invites Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (who denies the Holocaust and calls for the destruction of Israel) to speak at a campus Q&A session.
• Columbia University banished ROTC training on campus, ostensibly because of don’t-ask, don’t-tell military treatment of gays. Which is really just a cover for anti-military attitudes.
• Student Republicans on numerous campuses are ordered to halt satirical “affirmative action bake sales” in which goodies are sold at different prices to whites, women and minorities.
