Poor Obama, Ted Kennedy (aka the Dumb brother) has endorsed him for president.

Addressing a cheering, overflow crowd in the university’s Bender Arena, Sen. Kennedy hailed Obama as a candidate who “has lit a spark of hope amid the fierce urgency of now.” Calling on Americans to “have the courage to choose change,” he declared, “It is time again for a new generation of leadership! It is time now for Barack Obama!”

“Lit a spark of hope amid the fierce urgency of now.” Phew! Someone check that room for gas. But this we can agree with.

“It is time again for a new generation of leadership!”

Teddy’s been in the Senate for 45 years. Massachusetts needs a change. American needs a change, fiercely with the urgency of now!

And finally, with Ted’s notorious drinking habits, couldn’t he have found another venue besides the Bender Arena?
