I recently saw a  photo of Priscilla Presley and Lisa Marie Presley in the newspaper. I glanced at the story and started to move on, then came back and studied the photo: I had mistaken the mother for the daughter because of her cosmetic surgery.

Priscilla Presley is of special interest to me because, in 1960, she and I rode the same school bus together. This was in Wiesbaden, Germany. She was four years older, but a matter of fascination. The rumor was that she was Elvis’s girlfriend. I didn’t believe it because she was just a kid.

That winter, a group of us were sledding and she came along with guys her age (14!) and asked if she could ride piggyback with me. Why, of course!

Over the years I’ve watched her become an actress and admired her beauty as she aged. Until lately. Of all things, with all the money to spend, she let some hack work on her face. The man is now doing time.

But even the pros can ruin a face as this article shows.
