LA Times inhouse bloggers were told not to refer to the John Edwards sex scandal. From Mickey Kaus comes a copy of the email sent out by management:

Hey bloggers,

There has been a little buzz surrounding John Edwards and his alleged affair. Because the only source has been the National Enquirer we have decided not to cover the rumors or salacious speculations. So I am asking you all not to blog about this topic until further notified.

If you have any questions or are ever in need of story ideas that would best fit your blog, please don’t hesitate to ask

Keep rockin,

Tony

Alex Kozinski, who was smeared by the LA Times last month over bogus claims of sexually explicit videos, including bestiality, on his personal website must be amused.

Granted, the National Enquirer is a gossip rag. But its description of John Edwards escapade was so specific — and Edwards is a vicious litigator who’d ream them for libel – I put my money on their veracity.

Keep rockin, Tony. And polish your resume — you’re whole stinking ship is going down.
